Belgische winnaar van Internationale Footbridge Award Eens in de 3 jaar worden de beste fiets- en voet- gangersbruggen ter wereld beoordeeld in de International Footbridge Award. In de categorie “mid span” was het de Parkbrug van ontwerper Ney & Partners en uitgevoerd door Emotec / Emergo Group, die deze wereldprijs in ontvangst mocht nemen. Het jury-commentaar spreekt voor zich : “A simple yet very effective solution which creates an interesting crossing for users even though it is fully enclosed. Jury found it hugely impressive that a box girder on this scale could be made without any u-frame, web or diaphragm stiffener.
