ArcelorMittal Europe’s Granite® range qualifies for ECCA Premium® label
Brussels, 22 April 2016: ECCA is pleased to announce that all coil coating lines producing ArcelorMittal Europe’s Granite® range of prepainted steels have qualified for the ECCA Premium® label. Each line was audited by an accredited ECCA inspector to ensure the processes and products met the exacting standards required for the ECCA Premium® label.
“ECCA would like to congratulate ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products for being the first steel-producing member to qualify all of its coil coating lines for one product range,” said Yvonne Barcelona, Director of ECCA. “We expect other European coil coaters will qualify their prepainted products during 2016.”
Granite® is a prepainted steel which is produced by ArcelorMittal Europe for external applications. All coil coating lines used to manufacture these products have now qualified for the ECCA Premium® label. The lines (in order of qualification) are located at: ArcelorMittal Liège (Belgium), ArcelorMittal Świętochłowice (Poland), ArcelorMittal Piombino (Italy), ArcelorMittal Avellino (Italy), ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt (Germany), ArcelorMittal Atlantique Et Lorraine (Montataire, France), ArcelorMittal Lesaka (Spain) & ArcelorMittal Ghent (Belgium)
The following Granite® products produced on these lines now carry the ECCA Premium® label:

The qualification process for the ArcelorMittal’s sites producing Granite® was completed during the first quarter of 2016.
ArcelorMittal Europe joins Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products (Norway), Novelis (Italia), Miralu (France) on the list of companies to which ECCA has granted its ECCA Premium® Quality and Sustainability label.
